What are your rates?

Brain Station Tutoring Services offers the highest quality tutoring at the very affordable rate of only $35/hour. Our learning disability intervention sessions with a Doctor of Psychology are only $55/hour. Learning disability assessment cost varies between $800.00-$1,200.00, depending on the needs of a student. This typically requires three 2-hour sessions to complete. There are no sign-up fees or long contracts. You may choose to pay after each lesson or pay for 10 or 30 sessions and get discounts of 10% or 15%, respectively.

When is tutoring available?

Brain Station Tutoring Services schedules tutoring at times convenient to parents and students. Our tutors are available seven days a week from 6 am to 9 pm.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No, you can pay as you go. Also, if you prefer you can also sign in for 10 or 20 hours of tutoring and get a 10 or 15% discount respectively. The only time we ask you to sign a contract is when you are enrolling on exam preparation class or learning disability assessment.

What subjects do you teach?

What kind of exam preparation program do you have?

Brain Station Tutoring Services provides individualized attention and help students focus on the essential skills needed for test taking success. Our programs familiarize students with test directions and questions, test taking strategies, and time management skills. We can also teach students how to decrease test taking anxiety through increasing confidence in their own abilities.

Brain Station Tutoring Services offers test preparation for the following areas. College: SAT; Graduate: GRE, MAT; Medical: MCAT; Education: TOEFL; and high school: SSAT, ISEE. What kind of learning disability assessment and treatments do you provide?

Brain Station Tutoring Services offers a full range of assessment and treatment options for children and adults with various forms of learning disabilities, including dyslexia, dysgrafia, and ADHD/ADD. What kind of curriculum do you use?

Brain Station Tutoring Services uses students' own textbooks and materials supplemented with our own effective tutoring resources and proven techniques. One of our top priorities is to ensure that our students understand their homework assignments and complete them at their own pace.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel less that 24 hours prior to your scheduled class we are forced to charge you for the missed class. 

Are you looking for new tutors?

Brain Station Tutoring Services is always looking for truly exceptional tutors who have a proven record of excellence in teaching and/or tutoring and at least a Bachelor’s degree. In addition, you need to have expertise in a particular subject area or have experience in teaching exam preparation (SAT, SSAT, GET, etc.).
